Objectives of Drew’s Nuclear Medicine Technology program

 
  • Prepares students to become competent and compassionate sonographers.
  • Graduates will become skilled in technical tasks and duties necessary to compete
    in the job market and attain personal growth.
 

Outcomes for Students who Successfully Complete the program

 
  • Perform sonographic examinations
  • Record anatomic and pathologic data
  • Review and Record information
  • Choose to specialize in the following varied and diverse fields:
    - Abdominal sonography
    - Obstetrics/gynecology sonography
    - Echocardiography
    - Breast sonography
    - Neurosonography
    - Peripheral vascular Doppler
    - Ophthalmologic sonography
  • Graduates will receive a Certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and will be
    eligible for certification in general sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
