Complimentary learning resources are provided to students, faculty, and staff and are housed in the Student Education and Service Center (SESC) located in the Keck Building. The SESC offers:
computer-assisted instruction in mathematics, writing, reading, and other curriculum supported subjects;
free tutoring in most subjects for both individuals and small groups of students;
academic skills building workshops that are scheduled through the academic year;
instructional videotapes and computer disks that can
be used at home or in the center; and
Internet access and web-based learning programs.
Students have access to the following equipment and resources:
A main computer area with 24 workstations and a
Smart Board-LCD projection system
A check-out system for borrowing various equipment
for classroom use
Nine computers in the Career Center providing additional access for technology-based research
Two group-study rooms with computer access
Several computer software programs that accommodate varying study needs
SESC also administers preadmission assessment examinations, counsels students about career choices via its Career Center, and provides guidance for students needing to meet criteria for Community Service Learning.
