The purpose and philosophy of the Department is to provide the highest quality of surgical services
to the community that it serves.
The eventual goal of the Department is to: |
- Reestablish a Surgical Residency and Medical Student Clerkship Program and to produce superbly trained surgical residents and highly qualified medical students
- Advance scientific knowledge
- Become a center of excellence in trauma and critical care and set the standard for the
quality of care that can be delivered not only in the community but the world
