MEDICAL STUDENT CLERKSHIP

Psychiatry is a 5-week third year core clerkship for medical students enrolled in the Drew-UCLA Medical Education Program. This clerkship is intended to teach future physicians the basics of psychiatry as an integral part of medical practice, including instilling in the students the importance of considering biopsychosocial factors in all aspects of medical care. This clerkship includes experience in inpatient, PES, and child/adolescent psychiatry. This five-week core clerkship is aligned with three-weeks of Neurology (offered presently at UCLA affiliates) in an eight-week Psychiatry-Neurology block.
