Hezla Mohamed , MD, FCAP is Chair of the Department of Pathology/Laboratories at Martin Luther King Drew Medical Center, Los Angeles. She currently holds the position of Associate Clinical Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Mohamed is a graduate of the University of Kerala, India (MBBS) and holds a Post-Graduate degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the University of Delhi, India. |

Dr. Mohamed is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, with subspecialty training and Board Certification in Cytopathology. |

Dr. Mohamed holds memberships in various societies; College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society of Cytopathologists (ASC), American Society of Kerala Medical Graduates (AKMG) and LA Path Society (LASOP). Dr. Mohamed is an active member in the Laboratory Accreditation Process and is a Voluntary Team Leader for the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program. Besides academic affiliations, Dr. Mohamed is actively involved in day to day clinical activities and is Chair of the Quality Improvement and Peer Review program of the department. |
