Our mission is to improve the health of people afflicted by diseases of the head and neck region through teamwork designed to provide optimal patient care, make new discoveries, and educate health care workers. In 1979, the division achieved departmental status. Dr. Gus Gill was the only African American Chair of an Otolaryngology Department in the US until his retirement in July 2005. |
