The availability of services, patient waiting time, and patient satisfaction has continued to improve from previous years and is at an all time high. Constant evaluation and reevaluation of services are provided in a monthly Improving Organization Performance meeting with all faculty, resident-physicians, and staff. Continuity of clinic care has been achieved by assigning physicians to each patient, and improved scheduling for Otolaryngology, Audiology and Speech Pathology services.
A pre-operative half-day clinic has been successful in streamlining patient's care geared for the operating room. |

The clinic is open from 8:30am - 4:00pm daily for patients who have appointments. The following is the schedule of clinics: |

- Wednesday - Preoperative clinic

The Department continues to increase its patient census. A total of 8,398 patients received medical care at KDMC and 596 at HHMC, 2001 an increase of 11% from the previous high of 8,100 in 1997. The Otolaryngology service conducted 344 consultations in addition to 336 admissions that required 707 surgical procedures in 2001. |

There are several clinical services available as well as general Otolaryngology. The specialized clinics include: Otology, Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Plastics and reconstructive Surgery, Allergy, Rhinology and Audiology, Speech /Language Pathology. |
