Dr. Edward E. Black, Assistant Professor IV, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Hospital Dentistry, received his DDS degree from Loyola University in 1964. He received is MS degree in 1966, also from Loyola University. Dr. Black is a member our Department in conjunction with his position with the UCLA’s School of Dentistry as an Adjunct Professor. |

Dr. Black maintains professional affiliations with the following organizations: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; Southern California Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; Southern California Society of Dental Anesthesiology; National Dental Association; American Dental Society of Anesthesiology; Angel City Dental Society; Southern California Academy of Oral Pathology; American Dental Association; Los Angeles Dental Society; Western Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons; and California Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. |

Dr. Black provides clinical and didactic teaching to the residents and research mentoring to fellows and residents with special interests in research. He will also be a direct patient care service provider working to provide quality patient care and further develop the department’s goals and objectives for the Centers of Excellence. |
