Ophthalmology is offered during the third year of the Drew-UCLA Medical Education program as a 1-week required clerkship.
The twelve-week Surgery block consists of six weeks of general Surgery and six, one-week additional specialties or subspecialties: Anesthesiology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology and Urology.
