  IN-SERVICE CONTINUING EDUCATION

Continuing Medical Education is consistent with the requirements of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), and our own policies, the Department of Neuroscience provides in-house and invited guest speakers who present informative and enlightening lectures and other educational activities. Each educational activity is evaluated by the audience in order to help us improve program planning, and to provide feedback to the presenter. Lecture/presentation objective are formulated and CME credits are earned through Charles Drew University, Office of Continuing Medical Education. Physician and allied health practitioners are required to fulfill 25 hours of Category I credit annually.

Ongoing training on topics of neuroscience and patient care in the form of professor rounds and grand rounds are also conducted weekly (Mondays and Thursdays) to enhance the performance of allied health and nursing professionals by attending faculty.
