The division is currently active is research in the area of endocarditis, HIV disease, tuberculosis, other sexually transmitted infections, and clinical trials of newer antimicrobial agents. The faculty is actively involved in publication of original research, reviews, and book chapters. Participation in research activity is encouraged during the fellowship training. Prior to completing fellowship, the fellows are expected to publish or present his/her research in some fashion (presentation at a scientific meeting, or publication of an abstract, clinical case report, or scientific paper). |
