Infectious Disease Fellowship Program
The Division of Infectious Diseases (ID) has an accredited two-year fellowship-training program in the subspecialty of infectious diseases. The ID Fellowship training program is structured to train physicians broadly in the practice of infectious diseases. This program currently recruits two fellows for training leading to certification in infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Residency Training
Internal Medicine senior residents rotate on the ID Consultation service. They evaluate all in and out patients where expert consultation is requested. The house staff is supervised by the fellow and faculty on service to maximize their educational experience.
Medical Student Training
ID is offered as a three-week elective in the fourth year of medical education for 300 level course credit. Medical students enrolled in the Drew UCLA Medical Education program may choose ID as part of their Medicine selective options required by the Drew Urban Underserved College.
