The Division of Infectious Diseases is dedicated to clinical care, education, and research in the field of Infectious Diseases. Three full time physicians currently staff the Division of Infectious Diseases. The Division provides hospital wide clinical consultations for complex problems related to infectious diseases, monitors antibiotic utilization, and is responsible for hospital infection control. The division has primary care responsibility for the outpatient management of HIV-infected patients at the OASIS clinic. The faculty provides education to the house staff in the field of infectious diseases. The faculty also shares responsibilities for patient care on the general internal medicine wards. Clinical rotations in the Division of Infectious Diseases are available to the house staff and medical students both from within the institution and the outside universities.

The Division of Infectious Diseases has an accredited two-year fellowship-training program in the subspecialty of infectious diseases. Infectious Disease Fellowship training program is structured to train physicians broadly in the practice of infectious diseases. This program currently recruits two fellows for training leading to certification in infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Consistent with the mission of the university, the program emphasizes competence and compassion in the treatment of patients.
