  Behrouz Salehian, M.D. – Assistant Professor of Medicine, III, Academic Series, Department of Medicine and Assistant Professor in Residence, Step III, in the Department of Medicine, UCLA School of Medicine (in process).
   
  Dr. Salehian received his M.D. degree in 1979 from Tehran University School of Medicine. Dr. Sal;ehian completed h is first residency training and one-year fellowship in Endocrinology at Tehran University School of Medicine. He went to France and had one-year clinical training fellowship in AIDS at Pitie – Salpetriere Hospital in the Department of Hematology and continued as a Clinical Investigator at Bichat-Claude Bernard Hospital, Division of Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He came to the United States of America in 1992 and started his fellowship in Endocrinology at Harbor-UCLA and after two years, he completed his second internship at the University of Nevada and his residency training at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science – King-Drew Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA. He is Board certified both in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Salehian is an Attending Physician in the Division of General Internal Medicine and simultaneously, in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Molecular Medicine at the Department of Internal Medicine for four years. He is author of 10 articles in peer-reviewed journals and more than 20 abstracts presented at different conferences and seminars. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and the the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He is one of the members of the Institutional Review Board Committee at the Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science.
