Schedule
Tuesday and Wednesdays
- Residents are exempt form AM Report and on Tuesdays they are to stay in Diabetes Clinic until it is finished. If it is before 11 AM then they can attend Grand Rounds.
- It is mandatory to be on time to the Diabetes and Endocrinology Clinic
Clinics
High Risk OB - Mondays
Diabetes Clinic - Tuesdays - Mandatory*
Pediatric Endo Clinic - Wednesday - Mandatory*
Endocrinology Clinic - Thursday - Mandatory*
FNA or Reproductive Clinic - Friday
Clinic Responsibilities
- It is the resident's responsibility to reschedule their Internal Medicine Clinic if it conflicts with Wednesday or Thursday afternoons. You are encouraged to attend if you are post-call.
- The only exception to missing a mandatory clinic is being post - call (this only is for afternoon clinics)
- Inform attending on consult service when you will be post-call 1 week before, otherwise you will not get excused.
- Peds Endo Clinic is mandatory. It is your only exposure to adolescents. You are encouraged to see children 12 and older.
Consults
- Check consult box everyday, in the AM and PM.
- See the patient and review with the fellow (if necessary)
- Present case to attending
- Read up on cases
- Follow-up the patients with daily notes and follow-up with the fellow and attending
Evaluations - Will be based on the following
Attendance: 20%
Promptness: 15%
Post-test: 25%
Clinic performance: 10%
Consult service: 30%; performance, notes, case presentations, and follow-up
