  About Us

The Division of Dermatology is one of the original Departments of Internal Medicine’s Divisions (1972), approved for residency training in 1975. We provide dermatologic (skin, hair, nails and mucus membranes) care for infants, children and adults, both as outpatients and inpatients. The Division of Dermatology at King-Drew Medical Center has gained national and international recognition for the treatment of vitiligo, keloids, acne keloidalis and ethnic skin.

We have ongoing research studies on keloids, acne keloidalis, laser hair removal and pseudofollulitis barbae.
