Vidya Sagar Kaushik, M.D.-Associate Professor, Career Academic Series, Department of Medicine; and Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCLA School of Medicine - Department of Medicine. Dr. Kaushik received his M.D. degree in 1964 from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He completed his Internship and residency at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He was boarded in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He was on the teaching faculty before moving to the United States of America (USA). He completed a Clinical Fellowship in Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Kaushik has served in the following capacities: Director, Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory; Interim Co-Chairman, Department of Internal Medicine; and Director of the Coronary Care Unit. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is the Chief of Cardiology, Department of Internal Medicine and the Executive Vice-Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Kaushik has served on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association Greater Los Angeles for many years and is a past President of the Affiliate. He has been the recipient of the Heart of Gold award from the American Heart Association. Dr. Kaushik also serves on the LA County Emergency Medical Services Commission. |
