  DIVISION OF CARDIOLOGY

  Education

The Division is intimately involved in the development and delivery of Department of Internal Medicine's teaching curriculum. Hands on interactive teaching is the primary mode of imparting clinical knowledge to the trainees. Harbor UCLA Cardiology fellows, King-Drew Internal Medicine house staff and house staff from other Departments, and Medical and PA students rotate through the Cardiology service. Bedside teaching is greatly emphasized. In addition to giving didactic lectures, conferences and Board reviews as part of the Internal Medicine training program, the Division of Cardiology conducts weekly Cardiac Cath Conference, Non-invasive conference and
a biweekly Cardiology Journal Club.
