Tuition and Fees



Financial aid ( for the Charles Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program is administered through the Office of Student and Resident Financial Services at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. This Office assists students in meeting the cost of their medical education by providing federal, state and institutional need-based financial aid and merit scholarships. This Office also offers financial counseling and assistance.

Private Scholarships:

Private scholarships are awarded through Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA based on academic achievement and financial need. Scholarships that have been awarded previously include:

Pfizer Award Scholarship
UniHealth Foundation
Association of Black Women Physicians
James Irvine Foundation
Charles R. Drew Auxiliary Scholarship

CDU/UCLA students are also eligible for the David Geffen Medical Scholarship from UCLA.

Tuition and Fees:

Tuition and fees for the Charles Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program are determined by the Board of Regents of the University of California and are subject to change without notice. Non-California residents must pay out-of-state tuition.

Foreign applicants: In order to be considered for admission, applicants who are not U.S. citizens and who reside in this country on a student visa will have to provide sufficient guarantee of financial support for their educational needs.
