  MEDICAL STUDENT CLERKSHIP
   
   
Obstetrics and Gynecology is a required six-week clerkship for third year medical students enrolled in the Drew/UCLA Medical education program. The rotation is divided into 3-weeks of Obstetrics and 3-weeks of Gynecology. The clerkship consists of a series of clinical experiences both in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings. Skills in the clinical evaluation of patients who present wth obstetrical and Gynecological issues are taught and eventual proficiency in these areas documented. The six-week rotation is followed by a shelf examination. High-Risk Obstetrics Senior Selective: A three week elective is offerred in High-Risk Obstetrics in the fourth year of medical education. Students enrolled in the Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program have a fourth year college requirement of specific selectives.
