  A Message From The OB/GYN Chair...
  The Goal of our department and the Residency Training Program is to educate and train competent obstetricians and gynecologist to provide the highest quality care possible to women throughout their reproductive life and beyond, to promote research aimed at reducing perinatal and maternal morbidity and to maintain a vibrant and creative academic department that excels in teaching research and other scholarly endeavors. Our faculty is comprised of highly educated and accomplished individuals as diverse as the population we serve. Our department is ever-changing and constantly striving for excellence and innovation in resident education as well as patient care. As a part of our program, you will gain extensive medical knowledge, and be immersed in a rich, socio-culturally diverse environment.   The Department of OB/GYN
  The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology currently lists 11 full-time faculty, 6 part-time faculty and 11 allied health professionals who are an integral part of the resident teaching program. They are dedicated and committed to resident education and patient care. The department’s administrative offices, labor and delivery Unit, obstetrical and gynecology inpatient units, and ambulatory clinics are located on the 2nd floor of the medical center. Gynecological surgery is performed on the 3rd floor and a level 3 neonatal nursery is located on the 5th floor.
   
 
   
  A new state of the art Women's Health Center has been recently opened and is located on the second floor of the Trauma Center.
