The Life Sciences major offers a traditional pre-medical foundation for students in pursuit of applying to medical school with a career as a medical physician. The curriculum is designed to meet the basic requirements for admission to colleges of medicine, dentistry, podiatry, veterinary, optometry, and pharmacy. Students interested in pursuing advanced degrees in areas such as audiology, nursing, physical therapy, physician assistant, and public health will also find the appropriate background in this major.

Admission Requirements/Prerequisites

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
  • A minimum of three of the following high school college-prep level courses with a grade of “B” or better:
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
    • Algebra 2

The date below is a recommended deadline; however, the Life Sciences Program offers rolling admissions and applications are considered until the class is filled.
