Arthur J. Ochoa joined Cedars-Sinai Health System in 2001. He has led all facets of Cedars-Sinai’s fundraising initiatives since he was appointed to his current position in 2004.
Art oversees all of the health system’s marketing and communications functions. He is also responsible for Cedar-Sinai’s community benefit strategies and programs, including its many education, health screening activities and grant making initiatives for children, the elderly and the working poor. Additionally, he oversees other externally-related functions.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Art practiced corporate and tax law at two of Los Angeles' most respected firms—O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Irell & Manella LLP.
Art president-elect of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Early Education, a socio-economically and culturally diverse independent elementary school in West Hollywood. He is also a trustee of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and a director of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. He is an honorary trustee of the Mexican American Bar Foundation in Los Angeles. He is also a past chairman of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Tax Exempt Organization Committee.
Art is a graduate of the University of Southern California (cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa) and the Yale Law School.
A life-long southern Californian, Art is a member of Downey High School’s Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Daniele, have two daughters, Madeleine (14) and Eloise (11).
